Materials:
50 grams Lightweight (DK or thinner) mohair yarn – I used Gioiello from Filatura Di Crosa
50 grams DK weight yarn
Size 8 24” circular needle
Finished scarf size:
approximately 4×60”
Instructions:
Using mohair yarn, cast on 600 stitches using long-tail cast on, placing stitch markers after every 100 stitches.
Rows 1-5: Knit
Row 6: using solid color DK yarn, knit 2tog across the row – 300 stitches.
Rows 7-11: Knit. Carry mohair yarn up by twisting it with DK yarn after knitting row 9.
Row 12: using mohair yarn, knit 2tog across the row – 150 stitches.
Rows 13-19: Knit. Carry DK yarn up by twisting it with mohair yarn after knitting row 16.
Row 20: using DK yarn, increase in every stitch (kfb) across the row – 300 stitches.
Rows 21-25: Knit. Carry mohair yarn up by twisting it with DK yarn after knitting row 23.
Row 26: using mohair yarn, increase in every stitch (kfb) across the row – 600 stitches.
Rows 27-31: Knit.
Cast off all stitches using Jeny’s Surprising Stretchy cast-off.
Weave in all ends, stitching the openings at each end of scarf together to complete the rounded edges.
